Who would have guessed?
The ladies “A” team were promoted to the first division last season to join our “B” team, what a surprise, they were drawn to play against one another in the first week. There was little to choose between the two sides until the fifteenth end when June Bentley, Sheila Clayton and Jo Gould scored a six against Debbie Roe, Jan Umney and Elaine Drury giving the “B” team a nine shot lead and they held on to win 34 – 27 with JO’s triple up 19 – 12 and the other triple of Margaret Cahill, Marion Amos and Beryl Clegg drawing against Liz Crow, Mollie Jennings and Pat Wisbey 15 - 15
